Patients can book an appointment up to 4 weeks in advance and we encourage you to do this if you can.
Patients are free to consult whichever doctor they choose, irrespective of the doctor with whom they are registered. However, it is best if some continuity can be maintained by seeing the same doctor for each problem. Our Nurse Practitioners also arrange some pre-booked and follow up appointments and are also able to provide you with continuity of care.
If you have a preference for a particular doctor, please inform our Reception Staff.
All GPs are registered with the General Medical Council.
The Practice is approved for Minor Surgery, Child Surveillance and all the doctors are on the Obstetric List.
Standard doctor’s appointments are 10 minutes in duration so please be aware if you have several problems to discuss that you may need to ask for a longer appointment.
We now use the Bristol Referral Service for most of our onward NHS referrals. This is a local team who review the referral to look at the outpatient or secondary care service that best suits your case. This is to support us to find the best pathway. After your referral has happened please contact the Bristol Referral service not the GP Practice and they can check the status and progress of it.
Can I get a same day consultation with a GP if I need one?
Yes, either in the surgery or over the telephone. We will try to give priority to patients with on-going or complex conditions who need to see a GP urgently. The Express Team may return your phone call if they feel they can help, in which case we hope your call will be dealt with quicker and that you will not need to wait until the end of the GP’s surgery.
